The role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and talented Cloud Platform Developer to join our Cloud Engineering team. You will report to the Lead Cloud Engineer and focus on designing, building and supporting Schonfeld’s Cloud Platform. The team is focused on building and delivering a hybrid platform as a service allowing users to easily scale their workloads and have massive amounts of computational capacity.
Your contribution to something big:
The Cloud Platform Developer will build Infrastructure-as-a-Service hybrid cloud solutions.
• Work with Portfolio Managers to understand their infrastructure and computing needs and define an appropriate hybrid cloud platform architecture
• Create entire application environments that can be easily automated or replicated
• Build serverless APIs, CI/CD pipelines for configuration management and do so keeping security in mind
The ideal teammate has/is:
• Expertise with AWS
• Experience building end-to-end cloud solutions
• Experience with Serverless APIs
• Strong DevOps mentality and passion about building elegant, cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with automating solutions using Python
• Experience with configuration management
• Experience with Terraform
• Knowledge of Linux systems, networking and security Understanding of containerization – Docker
• Understanding of scalable architecture
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
